Privacy policy
Last updated 20 September 2026. This policy covers the F1 Race Widgets app for Android (package com.f1widget) and this website.
In short
- The schedule and widgets work without an account and without sending us anything.
- There are no adverts, no analytics and no tracking.
- If you start the free theme trial, you sign in with Google. We keep an account ID and your trial start date so each account gets one trial.
- Google Play handles all payments. We never see your card details.
- You can ask us to delete your data at any time. See Delete your data.
Who we are
F1 Race Widgets is made by Lewis Brown, an independent developer in the United Kingdom. Lewis Brown is the data controller for the data described here. Contact: Lewisbrown2208@gmail.com.
What data the app uses

What the app does not collect
- Your location, contacts, photos or files. We never ask for location permission. An IP address can hint at a rough area, but we do not store or look at yours.
- Advertising IDs, analytics or usage tracking
- Payment card or bank details
The 2026 schedule is built into the app. Looking up session times does not send anything over the internet.
Crash reports
The app has no crash reporting of its own. If you have allowed it on your phone, Android may send anonymous crash and performance reports to Google Play, which we can see in Google Play Console.
Services we use
- Google Play Billing processes theme purchases. Google's privacy policy applies to the payment. The app receives the list of theme products you own and a purchase token, which it uses to confirm each purchase.
- Google Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore store the trial data above. They run on Google's servers.
- Google sign-in (Credential Manager) lets you choose a Google account for the trial. We never see your Google password. Signing in gives the app no access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts or anything else in your Google account.
Read Google's privacy policy and Firebase's privacy information. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone else.
Our legal basis (UK GDPR)
- Contract: to give you the trial you start and the themes you buy.
- Legitimate interests: to make sure each Google account gets only one trial, and to answer support emails.
Where your data is processed
Google may process trial and purchase data in countries outside the UK. Google uses legal safeguards approved for these transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Settings on your phone: until you clear the app's data or uninstall it.
- Trial record and sign-in details: for as long as the app offers a free trial, so a trial can't be repeated. We delete them sooner if you ask.
- Purchases: Google Play keeps these under its own policy.
- Support emails: until your question is resolved, and then no longer than 12 months.
Delete your data
This section is the deletion request page for the F1 Race Widgets app.
Data on your phone
Uninstalling the app removes your settings, your chosen theme and the offline copy of your purchases. You can also use Android Settings → Apps → F1 Race Widgets → Storage → Clear data to wipe it without uninstalling.
Your trial account
If you started the free trial, email Lewisbrown2208@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my data". Send it from the Google account you used for the trial, so we can find the right record.
We will delete both of these within 30 days and reply to confirm:
- Your Firebase Authentication account, which holds your Google email address, name, profile picture link and user ID.
- Your trial record in Firestore, which holds your trial start date.
Please note: the trial record is the only thing stopping a second trial on the same account. Once it is deleted we can no longer tell that the account has had one.
Purchases
Google Play keeps your purchase history under its own policy, and we cannot delete it. Deleting your trial data does not remove themes you bought, and does not refund them.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email us to do any of these. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
App permissions
- Notifications: to send the reminders you turn on.
- Alarms and reminders: so reminders arrive at the right minute.
- Run at start-up: to set your reminders again after your phone restarts.
- Internet and network state: for Google Play purchases and the free trial only.
- Google Play Billing: to buy themes.
Children
The app is not aimed at children under 13. The free trial needs a Google account, and Google sets its own minimum age for accounts.
This website
This site has no cookies, analytics or tracking. It is hosted by Netlify, which records standard server logs such as IP addresses to run and protect the service. Fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser downloads them. The site works out your time zone inside your browser and does not send it anywhere.
Changes to this policy
If the app starts using data in a new way, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change goes live.
